Nueva POESIA de ROBERT GURNEY (Bob)

Robert Gurney (izq) Leo Zelada (Perú) (centro) y Ian Gibson

Anne Allsopp (2013) on The Dragonfly

Anyone who grew up in Luton who picks up this poetry book will not want to put it down until reaching the end. Each poem tells a story or describes a picture in just the right words and at just the right length. The poem that gives the book its title, `The Dragonfly`, speaks of people like me who keep returning nostalgically to the places they remember, places that helped to make them who they are. I really enjoyed this little anthology.

(Anne Allsopp is the author of A History of Luton from Conquerors to Carnival, Crimson and Gold, Luton Modern School, Luton High School for Girls and Luton Technical School, The Education and Employment of Girls in Luton 1874-1924.)

Dra. Marta R. Zabaleta
