To the Honduran people and the international Community

Our protest for the atrocious eviction of the workers of the National Autonomous
University of Honduras (UNAH) who were in hunger strike to achieve their return to
work, of which they have been dismissed unjustly. The act executed September 5 at 5:30
a.m., violates the right to pacific protest protected by international legislation on human
rights, our national Constitution, Labor Code and the Labor Contract celebrated by the
university’s union and its authorities.
We denounce the policy that tries to make appear the university movement like a criminal
one, to justify judicial intervention with the invention of illegal telephone lines trafficking
in the UNAH and the persecution of leaders of the SITRAUNAH (university workers union),
who have restraining and capture orders against them.
Our definite rejection of the illegal acts perpetrated against the autonomy of the
university with the police occupation of the campus and the arbitrary detention of twenty-
two workers who were, at the moment, developing their working duties (surveillance and
other similar ones).
We oppose the interruption of labors in the UNAH, implemented by authorities as a
measure to demobilize the university’s community and to prevent the protest against all
these dreadful facts.
Today, once again, we declare our solidarity with the victims of persecution, of human
rights violations and arbitrary detentions at the UNAH. We express our solidarity and
commitment to fight together with the SITRAUNAH, the teachers and students movement
of the UNAH, and with the members of the National Front of Popular Resistance (FNRP).

Therefore
1. We add to the actions undertaken by the FNRP in defense of the human rights of our
people, its social conquests and labor laws, and in favor of the integrity and cessation of
persecution against the members of the SITRAUNAH and of the FNRP.
2. We demand of all the women's organizations of the world, of the organized people, of the
university unions, to join our voices of protest in opposition to these new acts of human
rights violations against the Honduran people.

For the freedom and the respect to the life of the people in resistance ¡

Neither coups d'état nor battering against women!

For the emancipation of women and all the oppressed!
