La Arpillera de la Justicia se va exponer este Martes 18 en el Museo de la Memoria. Muy orgullosa de participar desde Londres con el colectivo Bordando por la Memoria ! Jimena Pardo


NOTA BENE
Proud to be a part of this collective Arpillera ‘La Arpillera de Justicia’ which will be displayed in the Museum of Memoria in Santiago, Chile. It will be a part of their permanent collection.
The work was made during the pandemic and in response to human rights violations during the social uprising in Chile. The group Bordando por la Memoria sent 18 Arpilleras to be a part of this much larger project and all the work was coordinated via zoom and post, including sending the work to Canada to be put together. Many thanks to Neruda Arts for inviting us to take part Chaltumay ✊🏾🌿

👀Everything is getting ready for the opening of our “Arpillera De La Justicia” ( Arpillera For Justice) in Museo de la Memoria y los Derechos Humanos this October the 18th.
❤️Our Arpillera For Justice (Arpillera De La Justicia) will be permanently placed in the Museo de la Memoria y los Derechos Humanos (Museum of Memory and Human Rights) in Santiago, Chile.

Universidad de Concepción, Chile Escribo esto a la memoria de muy joven y rebelde ex-alumno Ariel Salinas, militante del Movimeinto Universitario de Izquierda, MUI, desaparecido desde 1974. A three-judge panel convicted him for ordering a military death squad to carry out two massacres that killed 25 people during his 1990-2000 rule, when he was battling guerrillas. Nearly 70,000 people died in two decades of conflict in the Andean country. Fujimori once enjoyed overwhelming popularity for taming economic chaos and defeating the Maoist insurgency known as the Shining Path, but a corruption scandal sank his government in 2000 and he fled to exile in Japan.
